Man charged with stabbing three people in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A Hartford man has been arrested after police said he stabbed his ex-girlfriend and two others after a domestic dispute, early Saturday morning.

Police responded to 106 Sherbrooke Avenue, early Saturday morning after reports of a domestic dispute. Responding officers found two victims suffering from stab wounds. They also found another victim a short time later.

Police said Fred Coby, 26, stabbed his ex-girlfriend with a curved knife, and then stabbed two others who attempted to help her.

The first victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest. The other two victims also suffered stab wounds. They were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.

Officials said Coby fled on foot after the stabbings, but was located by authorities a short time later near 90 Webster Street.

He was taken into custody and is facing several charges including criminal attempt to commit murder and multiple counts of violation of protective order.

Coby is being held on a $1 million bond.
