New Haven child falls from window

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) -

New Haven police say a 4-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital after falling from a second story window Saturday.

They say it happened around 3pm at a home on Warwick street.

Police say they believe the child pushed on the screen of the window and then fell 14 feet to the ground. He was rushed to the Yale Pediatric Emergency room. They say he did not break any major bones and is expected to be OK.

The incident has been ruled an accident, and police do not expect to file any charges.
