Man arrested for robbing Norwich convenience store

NORWICH, Conn. (WFSB) -

A Norwich man is facing charges after police say he robbed a convenience store Saturday night.

Police say 40-year-old Rodney Hagins was armed with a knife, grabbed a store clerk and demanded cash.  It happened at the Best Mart on Central avenue around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Police say Hagins grabbed money from the register and ran from the store.  He was arrested a short time later and charged with robbery and larceny. 

Hagins is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.  He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
