A new phase of construction on the state's new busway project is under way and could cause traffic delays.
Work began overnight in New Britain.
For the next several months, construction crews will be removing the railroad bridge over Route 9 to make way for a new bridge.
Officials said the work should wrap up every morning before 6 a.m.
The busway will run from New Britain to Hartford and is expected to be completed by 2014.
