EAST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A former East Hartford teacher who was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student has been arrested.

Jessica Motulski was arrested Thursday and charges of fourth-degree sexual assault for having the inappropriate relationship with the unidentified female student.

Motulski taught math at East Hartford High School, but resigned shortly after hearing she was being investigated for the relationship.

Motulski was initially placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, but school officials said she resigned before that investigation was completed.

In addition to the charge from East Hartford, officials from the Glastonbury Police Department, where Motulski lives, are also looking to file charges against her.

However, police said, she has not been charged in Glastonbury.
