Woman accused of abusing disabled person due in court

EAST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A woman being accused of abusing a developmentally disabled person at an East Hartford group home is sue in court Wednesday.

Investigators said Angelica Rivera, 33, is the person seen kicking, hitting and pulling the hair of a client on a video recording at the group home.

Rivera has been suspended without pay.

The state is monitoring the company that runs the group home.
