Meeting being held to discuss firefighter union contracts

NEW LONDON, CT (WFSB) -

A meeting will be held Thursday night in New London to discuss contract negotiations with firefighter unions.

The meeting comes after more than two dozen firefighter jobs were saved from the cutting block after budget cuts in the city.

The New London City Council is expected to reach another tentative agreement with union leaders.

The meeting is being held at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
