HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Police and animal control officers in Hartford are trying to find the person who shot a young dog near Colt Park.
The wounded dog was found by residents in the area of Huyshope Avenue. They called animal control when they saw the dog stumbling in the road.
The dog had collapsed by the time animal control officers arrived.
A vet was able to remove the bullet from her neck and she is expected to make a full recovery.
She is expected to be up for adoption soon.
