West Hartford police have arrested a man they said was using the camera on his cell phone to film up the skirts and dresses of women shopping at Whole Foods.

According to police, 34-year-old Giovanni Geronilla of Hartford placed his cell phone in a shopping basket and then would either hold or slide that shopping basket into place to film up the skirts of female customers.

Police said in all, six unidentified women were filmed and officers are asking anyone who thinks they might be a victim to call them.

According to police, the incident occurred between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday, and all involve white women wearing skirts or dresses. Police said in two instances, the victims had a child with them.

Geronilla is charged with six counts of voyeurism and six counts of breach of peace. He was released on bond and will appear in court later in the month.
