DARIEN, CT (WFSB) -
A Bridgeport man has been arrested and charged with voyeurism after a camera was discovered in the bathroom of a Darien Subway restaurant.
Darien police said they were called to the Subway restaurant on Heights Road on Wednesday after a camera was discovered in the unisex bathroom.
Police said examination of the footage revealed three separate individuals had unknowingly been captured on video. In addition, police said the suspect was also captured on the video and they were able to identify him as a Subway employee.
Police arrested 21-year-old Marco Dias on Thursday and charged him with three counts of voyeurism, his bond was set at $25,000.
Dias was also later discovered to be an illegal immigrant, police said. At this time Dias is being held indefinitely while Immigration Services handles that matter.
Police said they also discovered a second camera in Dias' house and will be examining that to see if there are additional victims.
