ROCKVILLE, CT (WFSB) -

A principal from Rockville High School charged with driving drunk was in court on Friday.

Eric Baim was placed on paid administrative leave after his arrest last month.

Baim is applying to the Connecticut Alcohol Education Program.

Vernon's Board of Education did allow him to keep his job, but the superintendent is expected to announce an alternate punishment in a few weeks.

Baim will be back in court in October.
