PLAINFIELD, CT (WFSB) -
Police in Plainfield are searching for a car they say jumped a sidewalk and struck a boy while he walked with his friends Friday afternoon.
According to police, the car is described as a dark-colored, four-door vehicle with dark tinted windows. Police say the car struck the boy as he was walking on School Street in the Central Village section of the town.
The car struck the boy, then continued east on School Street towards Route 12. The victim was then transported to Backus Hospital in Plainfield for injuries to his right side and leg.
This case will remain open and the Plainfield police are asking anyone with any information to please contact the Plainfield Police Department at 860-564-0804.
