SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) -

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a house fire on Cody Circle in South Windsor.

Crews were dispatched to 140 Cody Circle, just after 12 p.m. Saturday afternoon, after multiple 911 calls.

Officials said responding crews were able to knock down the fire within 15 minutes of arrival.

According to the South Windsor Fire Chief, two firefighters were evaluated for heat exhaustion, and were treated on scene. Officials said they were not transported to the hospital.

The homeowner was outside the home when it caught on fire, but was not injured, according to authorities.

Fire officials told Eyewitness News a torch-like device being used by the homeowner may be what started the fire, but the Fire marshal is now investigating the exact cause.

It is still unknown if the residents will be allowed back into the home.
