NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) -
New Britain police have arrested five people after a drug raid Friday night.
Police performed the raids after obtaining search and seizure warrants in several neighborhoods.
Police said Sarina Santos, 27, and Jon Somerall, 33, were both arrested at an apartment on High Street. They were both charged with possession of narcotics, possession of hallucinogens, as well as possession of hallucinogen with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school. They were both held on a $150,000 bond.
Police also arrested Yvette Morris, 22, after serving a search and seizure warrant at an apartment at 85 Dwight Street. Morris was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell. She is being held on a $150,000 bond.
Another search and seizure warrant was executed at an apartment at 56 Beatty Street. Parish William Barley,48, was arrested and charged with interfering with a search warrant. He is being held on a $150,000 bond.
Christopher Golova, 27, was also arrested during the police raids. He was charged with possession of marijuana and cultivation of marijuana.
New Britain Mayor Timothy O'Brien said he commended the efforts of the police department. he said, "This is yet another example of the benefits of encouraging open communication between city residents and the law enforcement community."
