Chester-Hadlyme Ferry out of service due to mechanical problems

CHESTER, CT (WFSB) -

The Chester-Hadlyme Ferry is out of service because of mechanical problems, officials said.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation made the announcement Saturday morning.

According to the announcement, the ferry is expected to be out of service for more than 24 hours.

No other information has been released.
