MONTVILLE, CT (WFSB) -
Thousands of residents in Montville are without power this afternoon.
Connecticut Light and Power officials told Eyewitness News that a primary line came down on Route 32 in Montville, causing the outage.
At one point, more than 3,000 residents, or 38 percent of Montville was affected by the outage, according to Connecticut Light and Power.
Officials said crews are on the scene and are working to restore power to affected residents.
According to officials, power is expected to be restored around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon.
State police said Route 32 is not closed at this point.
