Man dies after diving from pier at Walnut Beach in Milford - WFSB 3 Connecticut

A 48-year-old man has died after diving off a pier at Walnut Beach.
Police responded to the pier just after 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4.
According to witnesses, the man was performing some type of diving maneuver from the pier when he landed in shallow water.
The man was treated for serious injuries at the scene but later died after being transported to a local hospital, police said.
The man's name has not yet been released.
