
Clinton police made a surprising discovery during a traffic stop Sunday evening.
Police said they pulled a vehicle over with two men inside just before 7 p.m.
During the traffic stop, police said they found hundreds of pills, including Oxycontin, Klonopin, Valium and other pills, as well as 45 bags of heroin.
There was also $2,000 in cash, a BB gun, drug paraphernalia, night vision goggles and binoculars.
The driver, identified as Nathaniel Etzel, was also found to have a suspended licence.
The owner of the vehicle, identified as Bryan Gallagher and was also in the car. They said he admitted that everything in the vehicle was his, except the drug paraphernalia, which was found in Etzel's pocket.
Gallagher was arrested and held on $50,000 bond and was expected to be in court Monday.
Etzel was released on a promise to appear, and is expected to head to court Aug. 14.
