HATFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy called for flags to be flown at half-staff Monday to honor the victims of the Sikh temple shooting in Wisconsin.
Malloy made the announcement after a proclamation was made by President Barack Obama.
In a statement, Malloy said, "Our hearts go out to the victims and their families as they cope with this terrible event. Connecticut stands with the rest of the nation in mourning this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Wisconsin."
Flags will remain lowered until sunset on Aug. 10.
