Fairfield man charged with sex assault

SHELTON, CT (WFSB) -

A Fairfield man was arrested by Shelton police on sex assault charged after a six-week investigation.

Police said Kerry McGuire, of Oakwood Drive in Fairfield was arrested Monday after the investigation, and is related to a 14-year-old victim.

McGuire was charged with:

First-degree sexual assault (2 counts)
Risk of injury to a minor (2 counts)
Violation of a protective order

Police said McGuire was held on $150,000 bond, and was expected to be arraigned in Derby Superior Court on Tuesday.
