PD: Man arrested for attempting to steal beer; pizza ingredients

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) -

South Windsor police arrested a man for attempting to steal beer, ingredients for pizza, and some candy from a local grocery store.

Police were called to Geissler's Supermarkets on Tuesday to investigate a shoplifting complaint.

When cops arrived they found 56-year-old Christopher Fortin attempting to steal a 30-pack of beer, two packages of pizza dough, one package of mozzarella cheese, one package of pepperoni and four pieces of candy.

Fortin was released on $2,000 bond and will appear in Manchester court Aug. 16.
