Norwich police arrest wanted fugitive

NORWICH, CT (WFSB) -

Norwich police arrested one of their top 10 fugitives after collaborating with law enforcement in New York state.

According to police, Joshua Swindell, 30, was arrested after police received information that he might have moved to Rochester, NY. Swindell is charged with the sale of heroin.

With the assistance of United States Marshall's Service, Swindell was taken into custody on the strength of the arrest warrant. 

Swindell was being held by authorities in Rochester, NY and waived extradition.  Swindell is currently being held on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned in Norwich Superior Court on Aug. 10.
