EAST HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

East Haven fire officials are investigating the third fire in just a few short moths at the Neubig Farm.

Crews responded shortly before 4 p.m. to the Barberry Road farm and were able to extinguish the fire quickly, officials said.

Late Thursday night, the state fire marshal was investigating with accelerant detecting dogs to determine if the fire was intentionally set. The fire is the third at the location. Previous fires in May and then in July destroyed a shed and a large barn.

Investigators said they are following leads in each case.

"We're concerned," East Haven Assistant fire Chief Chuck Licata said. "Three fires in short period of time that why were dedicating so much staff and resources trying to figure out what cause was."
