Police release name of untimely death at Jackson Cove Park

OXFORD, CT (WFSB) -

State police are investigating the possible drowning of 26-year-old Vignesh Viswanathan of Edison New Jersey.

Friends reported Viswanathan missing Saturday evening after they noticed several articles of his clothing were still on the beach at Jackson Cove Park in Oxford.

His body was found two hours after the search began.

Park employees tell Eyewitness News that the body of the victim was found underneath a dock.

The victim was camping with friends in the Kettletown State Park.

A medical examiner will perform an autopsy Monday.
