Police cruiser nearly struck by driver

BETHEL, CT (WFSB) -

Stephen Radcliffe, 32 of Bethel, has been charged with driving under the influence and failure to keep right after almost hitting a police cruiser with his car.

According to police, Radcliffe was traveling North on Old Hawleyville Road when he almost hit the cruiser that was driving in the opposite direction.

Police have said that Radcliffe almost failed a sobriety test.

Radcliffe was released on $100 bond and is expected to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Aug. 23, 2012.
