MILFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Milford fire crews were called to an early morning house fire on Elm Street on Monday.
Firefighters arrived on scene about 1:45 a.m. Monday to find the first and second floors of the home heavily involved in flames
The fire chief said crews were kept to an exterior attack and were able to get the fire under control about 15 minutes later.
A nearby home also suffered significant damage when heat from the flames caused the siding to melt.
According to officials the home had been vacant for quite some time.
Officials said no one was injured and the fire marshal is on scene investigating the cause of the fire at this time.
