Woman enters plea in murder-for-hire plot

SIMSBURY, CT (WFSB) -

A former Simsbury resident accused of hiring a hit man to kill her ex-husband pleaded not guilty in court today.

Tiffany Stevens, 36, was arrested by Simsbury Police on July 13 after they said she paid a man $5,000 to kill her now ex-husband.

According to court documents, the hitman never followed through with the plot and instead called her ex-husband, who then called police.
