Crash closes Route 74 in Willington

WILLINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

A crash closed Route 74 in Willington on Wednesday morning.

Connecticut Department of Transportation officials said Route 74 was closed at Old Farms Road because of the crash.

Connecticut State Police said the crash was reported around 10:25 a.m.

As a result of the crash, a LIFE STAR medical helicopter was called to the scene to bring someone to a local hospital.

State police did not say how many vehicles were involved, or how long the road would remain closed.

The crash is under investigation.
