VERNON, CT (WFSB) -

A Windham man has been arrested after an investigation showed he had hundreds of images and videos of child pornography, according to Connecticut State Police.

State police said a trooper was assigned the case in July, and after a long investigation with the assistance of other state troopers and the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit, an arrest warrant was drafted for Jacob Harper, 30.

State troopers seized a home computer, cell phone and an additional hard drive from Harper's home, and said they found 647 images and 181 videos of child porn.

There was also a 9-year-old female victim of voyeurism in the case, but state troopers said she was not harmed in any way.

Just before 8 p.m., state police arrested Harper at his job without incident.

He was charged with voyeurism with intent for sexual desire, importing child porn and possessing child porn.

Harper's public defender tried unsuccessfully to lower his $1 million bond to $10,000.

"He has too much to lose by trying to leave the jurisdiction," said Doug Ovian. "That's why he stayed during the last month.

His bond was kept at $1 million, partly because of the perceived risk to the public.
