WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

Officials at the medical examiner's office in Hartford said they have tentatively identified the body of a woman found in Waterbury on Thursday is that of a woman who was reported missing in July.

Just after 3 p.m. Thursday, police said the body of a woman was found in a wooded area on Park Terrace, not far from the last place Barbara Grohs, 62, was seen.

Grohs was last seen July 30.

The medical examiner's office said that because of a high volume of cases at the office, the complete autopsy of Grohs will not be done until sometime over the weekend, but said Grohs was identified by her wedding rings and medical bracelet that she was wearing at the time of her death.

At this point, police said, foul play is not suspected.

"We learned that (Grohs) has passed," read a post by her daughter, Susan, on Facebook. "We also know for sure that she is safe within the arms of God. We know you are hurting along with us. Please continue your prayers and be patient with us as we grieve."

In recent weeks, friends and family of Grohs have held vigils and conducted searches for the missing woman.

"I love you, mom," Susan Grohs said in the Facebook post. "You are in are hearts forever."
