A Google Maps team has descended on the University of Connecticut campus in Storrs, in an attempt to improve the Google Street View maps of the campus.
The team has been on campus since earlier this week and are expected to remain until at least Sunday.
While here, they are taking pictures with a tricycle-mounted camera to capture images of buildings, landmarks and roads in and around the Storrs campus.
Google officials said the team may return sometime during the week of Aug. 27, but officials said that was only going to be necessary if bad weather forces them to halt picture taking.
The images should be ready to go by late fall or winter.
