Milford Oyster Festival being held Saturday - WFSB 3 Connecticut

The 37th annual Milford Oyster Festival kickoff is just getting under way in Milford with plenty to see, do and eat.
Most of Friday was spent setting up the hundreds of tents and booths that will ring the Milford Green on Saturday for the Oyster Festival that has become one of the largest events of its kind in the Northeast.
"Up to about 50,000 (people) will stroll through," said Jay Pinto, of the Milford Oyster Festival. "I mean, this festival has gotten to be as big as it can be for this area."
And you don't need to be an oyster fan to join in on the festivities. There will be classic cars on display, games, rides and live music in addition to arts and crafts.
For the seafood lovers though there will be oysters from more than a dozen different locations up and down the East Coast from Maine to Virginia.
