NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

An employee at a New Haven gas station was robbed of a bank deposit bag Monday morning, according to police.

Police were called to the Mercury Gas Station, at 125 Foxon Blvd., after an employee was leaving the store with a bank deposit bag just before 9:30 a.m. The woman, who has not identified at this time, was confronted by two men, she told police. The men "forced the deposit bag" from her and fled the scene in a white van with the logo New Haven Register written on the sides, according to a release from police.

Police said no weapon was displayed by the suspects.

The amount of money taken by the suspect is unknown at this time.
