WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -
Waterbury firefighters were able to quickly extinguish an overnight fire, but not before it heavily damaged the third floor of a vacant home.
Crews were called to 53 Spring Brook Road around 1 a.m. Tuesday, and when they arrived, they found the upper floor of the home fully involved in flames.
Fire crews were able to get the fire quickly knocked down.
Officials said no one was in the home at the time of the fire, and the cause remains under investigation.
There were no injuries reported.
Crews will be standing by overnight to monitor the scene until investigators get there later in the morning.
