HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
The former CEO for WWE Linda McMahon is in the lead over Chris Murphy, who is the United States Rep. from Connecticut's 5th Congressional District, according to a new national poll.
The Rasmussen Reports shows McMahon with 49 percent of the vote to Murphy's 46.
Five percent of voters in the telephone survey were undecided and 1 percent chose another candidate, Rasmussen Reports said.
Murphy and McMahon are vying for the right to succeed Joe Lieberman in the U.S. Senate. This is the first national poll since the two candidates were nominated by their respective parties.
