NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) -
A New Britain man, who is accused of trying to abduct young girl in July, is in court Thursday to face additional charges, according to a local newspaper.
Oscar Diaz, 67, of 12 Ward St., was charged with one count of criminal attempted kidnapping and one count of breach of peace last month. According to police, Diaz tried twice to bring a 12-year-old girl into his mini-van on July 13, but the unidentified girl ran away from his vehicle.
The New Britain Herald is reporting that Diaz is expected to be served with two additional arrest warrants. The charges are believed to involve young girls.
Diaz is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in New Britain Thursday.
