HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) -

The woman, who is suspected of killing a father of nine on Sterling Street last week, was arraigned in Superior Court in Hartford on Thursday morning.

Tyisha McFadden, 29, is being held on a $2 million bond after she shot Errol Campbell in front of his 4-year-old daughter, according to family members. McFadden intended to hit another target, they added.

"She should get the max," said one family member in court Thursday morning.

McFadden was in traffic court in West Haven on Wednesday when she was arrested by police on the murder charge. She was charged with murder, risk of injury to a minor, reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm and carrying a firearm without a permit.

Due to the seriousness nature of the crime, Judge Joanne Alexander decided on the high bond amount.

According to sources, McFadden was questioned by police last week and is expected to hire a private attorney for her next court appearance.
