HARTFORD, CT (AP) -
Police say a "private source" is offering a $10,000 reward in the shooting deaths of 2 Hartford men four years ago.

Police Chief James C. Rovella said the reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the deaths of 23-year-old Carlos Ortiz Jr. and 21-year-old Lamar Gresham.

Both men were shot in the chest by someone in a white four-door vehicle, possibly a Nissan Maxima. Police say the car pulled up alongside the two men as they walked on Edwards Street after they had left a pizza restaurant.

The shootings occurred about 3:15 a.m. Aug. 25, 2008. Rovella said police have been investigating ever since.

Anyone with information can call Hartford Crime Stoppers at 860-722-8477 or go to Hartford Crime Stoppers online.
