STORRS, CT (WFSB) -
Police on the University of Connecticut's Storrs campus say a reported sexual assault by a female student Saturday morning did not occur.
According to police, the assault was reported at 12:10 a.m. Saturday after they received a report of a female being assault by two to five males. The attack occurred in the vicinity of North Eagleville Road and Glenbrook Road.
"UConn Police initiated an investigation into this reported incident and have determined this incident did not occur. During the subsequent investigation, detectives reviewed security camera footage and conducted follow up interviews with the complainant and have learned that the complainant falsely reported the assault."
No word yet if any charges will be filed.
