Man accused in sexual assault of teen due in court

SHELTON, CT (WFSB) -

A Fairfield man accused of sexually assaulting a teenager is expected to appear in court Monday.

Police in Shelton arrested Kerry McGuire, 38, earlier this month after a six-week investigation.

Few details of the incident have been released by police, but officials said the charges are related to a 14-year-old victim.

In addition to sexual assault, police said, McGuire is also charged with risk of injury to a minor and violating a protective order.
