Suspect takes own life in Danbury standoff - WFSB 3 Connecticut

An man involved in a standoff with Danbury police shot and killed himself after several hours.
Police said they were called to the home on Westville Avenue extension around 4 p.m.
According to officers, the man had been involved in a domestic dispute before they arrived.
Police said everyone in the home, including children, were able to make it out safely.
Around 8 p.m. officers said the man turned the gun on himself, taking his own life.
Police have not identified the man at this time.
