A Hartford man will serve five years of probation for hiding cameras that recorded men using public restrooms in three towns.
Fifty-two-year-old Paul Deveau was sentenced Wednesday in Hartford Superior Court. He had faced a dozen felony voyeurism charges but pleaded guilty in July to a single felony voyeurism count that carries up to five years in prison.
West Hartford police arrested Deveau last year after they say a customer found a sound-activated video camera in the bathroom of a Starbucks. Authorities say video from the camera showed Deveau setting it up.
Police say Deveau admitted installing cameras in three other public restrooms in West Hartford, Bloomfield and Hebron.
