HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
State police will continue to have additional officers on duty through Labor Day.
Officials said an increased police presence will help reduce problems on Connecticut roadways and will help better enforce driving laws.
According to the latest numbers released by the Connecticut state police, there have been 175 crashes on the Connecticut roadways this weekend.
Police said 41 of the crashes involved some type of injury, with one fatality.
Officials have made 41 DUI arrests and cited 1,024 drivers for speeding violations.
State police are expected to release updated statistics Monday.
