Police in Enfield are investigating a car accident that has left two people dead.
Police were called to Route 5 at Broadleaf Lane at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police tell Eyewitness News that when crews arrived they found a head-on collision involving two vehicles.
Both vehicles were occupied by a single female operator and had to be extricated by the fire department. Laurie Angilly, 58, of Enfield and Davetta Curtiss, 76, of Suffield were transported to area hospitals. However, they both died from injuries suffered in the crash.
Crews are still on the scene investigating.
