KENT, CT (WFSB) -
Police in Litchfield are investigating the drowning of 22-year-old Felix Sanchez.
Crews were called to the scene at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Sanchez was fishing in the Housatonic River in Kent when he was swept away by the current and went underwater.
The Kent, Goshen, New Milford and Gaylordsville fire departments responded to the scene.
Divers from Goshen and Kent conducted the search and located him at about 5:30 p.m.
Sanchez was transported to New Milford Hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced deceased.
