Man charged in deadly hit-and-run heads to court

WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

A man charged in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in Waterbury will face a judge Tuesday.

Juan Sanchez, 21, was arrested last week.

Investigators said he allowed 18-year-old Marc Santos to hide the car used in the hit-and-run in his garage and helped to replace the broken windshield.

Santos is accused of killing 90-year-old Nella Atkins last month at the intersection of Highland and Bradley Avenues.
