Teen on moped collides with pickup truck in Woodbury

WOODBURY, CT (WFSB) -

Route 6 in Woodbury was closed early Friday morning after a teenager on a moped collided with a pickup truck.

The incident was reported around 6:30 a.m.

Connecticut State Police said a pickup truck, which was being operated by William Caco, 29, was traveling east along Route 6 when the teen, identified as Eric Marshall, 16, attempted to turn into the driveway at 1785 Main St. North (Route 6) and collided with the pickup truck.

State police said Marshall sustained injuries during the collision and was brought to Waterbury Hospital to be treated.

The crash is currently being investigated by Woodbury police, as well as Connecticut State Police.

No other information was released.
