PLYMOUTH, CT (WFSB) -
Police in Plymouth are searching for man they said was trespassing with a gun overnight.
Officials responded to a wooded area off of East Plymouth Road shortly after midnight Saturday, after reports of a man trespassing with a rifle. Police said there was a recent assault in the same area.
Police from Plymouth, along with a K-9 unit, searched the area for the man.
After their search, police arrested Brandon Eldred, of Thomaston, for criminal trespassing, and interfering with an officer. He is being held on a non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on Sept. 17.
Police also issued an infraction to an unidentified female for trespassing.
Authorities are still searching for the man who may have been carrying a rifle.
He is described as a bald white mall, about 6' tall and weighing about 150 lbs. Police said the suspect was wearing camouflage pants and a gray T-shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call Plymouth police.
