One person injured in overnight shooting in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Police are searching for a suspect in an overnight shooting in Hartford.

It happened early Saturday morning in the area of 204 Mather Street.

Police were called to the scene after several reports of gunshots fired.

Responding officers found the victim suffering a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he remains in stable, but critical condition.

Police said the suspect was a black male wearing an orange T-shirt and a black baseball hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hartford police.
