Kensington man dies after crashing car into Bristol home

BRISTOL, CT (WFSB) -

A man from Kensington has died after crashing his car into a house in Bristol.

It happened just after 8 p.m. last night near the intersection of Riverside Avenue and East Street in Bristol.

Police said Wincenty Gwizdak, 68, of Kensington, was driving eastbound on Riverside Avenue, when he left the roadway and struck a house near the intersection.

Officials said the car and the home suffered moderate damage.

According to police, Gwizdak was unresponsive when officers arrived at the scene. He was taken to Bristol Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Anyone who may have seen the crash or have any further information is asked to call Bristol police.
